Print the rocket template on card stock.
Get a white plastic film canister, which works better than the black canister with the gray top. Place the canister upside down.
Using the template, cut off the corners at the dark solid lines, fold them at the perforated line, and tape them to the bottom of the rocket slightly above the film canister. These are your fins. Should have at least three.
Cut out and roll the remaining rectangle around the film canister creating a fuselage.
Cut out the center circle from the template, and cut the slit that is marked to the center of the circle. Twist it around to make a cone for the tip of the rocket. Tape it on. With a little decorating, your rocket is now ready.
Go outside. (Don’t skip this step!)
Remove the lid from the film canister and put one antacid tablet in the container.
Add a teaspoon of water to the container. Use cold water to slow down the reaction.
Do the next 2 steps quickly - put the cap on and make sure that is on tightly.
Quickly put the canister on the ground CAP SIDE DOWN and STEP BACK at least 2 meters.
About 10 seconds later, you will hear a POP! and the film canister will launch into the air!
If it does not launch, wait at least 30 second before examining the canister. Usually the cap is not on tight enough.
